REN | Revolutionary Skincare

Up until recently, REN is a brand that I've only dipped my toe into with the lovely Glycolactic Radiant Renewal and Invisible Pores Detox Mask. However, the products below have become giants in my daily skincare regime.

The brand is infamous for their attractive 'Clean Skincare' ethic, which is something which instantly encourages me to associate with a product. When I saw this set of six for a bargain price on the shelves of Marks & Spencer, it was something that I was never going to be able to say no to! So over the past few weeks, I have been road testing these guys against my current skincare regime and am pleased to say that some have become to feature more permanently among my cult favourites...

Chloé Eau de Parfum

Chloé's fragrances are now undoubtably some of the most recognisable little bottles on the market and at the moment, I'm absolutely loving their most classic scent, which is just beautiful and completely timeless.

First of all, I think the packaging is so glamorous. The simplicity of the bottle makes it a very original and an almost classic, Parisian addition to the dressing table. Chloé's bow tied effortlessly around the neck has become something of their iconic symbol; something which to me, makes a really chic and feminine statement. This beautiful Eau de Parfum is undoubtably a confident and creative fragrance, described as a 'vibrant, feminine fragrance with peony, lychee and freesia'...

Richard Ward Hair: The Chelsea Collection

Honestly, Richard Ward is a name that I don't usually think of straight away when it comes to hair. However, after receiving this gorgeous set for Christmas, I'm really so impressed and eager to find out more!

This beautiful duo set endeavours to create 'Heaven Sent Hair' and contains a clarifying shampoo treatment, as well as a professional tangle teaser, which is something that I have been meaning to invest in for a while or so now. I think the angelic theme is really lovely and I love the aesthetic wings embedded onto the back of the brush, which make it really easy to hold. The Chelsea Collection was a gorgeous gift and after finding out that Richard Ward has tended to the locks of Pippa Middleton and the like, I'm intrigued to find out more...

Leighton Denny: The Dramatic Collection

Fortunately, my Mum knows me too well when it comes to nail varnish and consequently, I was so happy to unwrap this absolutely show-stopping Leighton Denny Collection on Christmas morning!

These polishes hit the high end spectrum at £11 per 12ml pot, so I was overwhelmed to receive six of them. The colours are absolutely beautiful and there isn't a single one I wouldn't wear, which is great when buying a set, as often, there tends to be something of a 'dud' shade. However, from left to right, allow me to introduce you to The 'Dramatic' Collection: Leading Lady, Hint of Mint, Starlet, Temptress, Drama Queen and Femme Fatale...

New Years SALE Favourites

So Christmas is over and it's that wonderful time between Boxing Day and New Year when none of us know which day of the week it is. However, with that time comes the biggest sales of the year and a few gifts to ourselves...

So for the next few days, I plan to continue feeling festive for as long as possible by consuming Christmas leftovers and also by way of the Sales, in which we can indulge ourselves with what is left in our pockets after present giving. This year, the discounts seem to be even bigger than ever so today, I thought I would show you a few bargains that I've picked up since the prices plummeted...

Getting Ready For Christmas...

So Christmas is just twenty-four hours away and with the celebrations almost at climax, I thought I would give a little insight into my own festive preparations so far.

It's been over a week now since I returned home from University and with the wrapping nearly done, constant cooking on the go and the mulled wine flowing, the final arrangements are now in full swing! The tree is dressed and in its prime and it's time to perfect the finishing touches before Santa comes...

Sleek Gloss Me 'So Berry Sweet'

I actually picked up this guy as a mistake, thinking it was Sleek's somewhat infamous 'Matte Me' formulation. However, I have actually become rather taken with this ruby slipper red and it's become part of my festive lip.

First of all, how gorgeous does this look in the bottle. It has an incredible almost golden shimmer to it, which can't really be noticed on the lips, however on the dressing table it's a different story! The texture of the gloss is actually what I was firstly so impressed with. It resists stickiness and glides onto the lip beautifully, which is a must when I'm looking at glosses like this as you don't want any lipstick colour to be pulled off by a layering product. All in all, I'm super impressed with the finish, as you will be able to see below...

Christmas In Red

I'm certainly not one to save a bold lip until the festive season, however Christmas is without doubt the best of excuses to paint the town red... or perhaps just our lips and nails then.

I have many-a-red boasting through my make up draws, however in the past I have often found myself clinging to one particular product. On the contrary, this year I've been really spread my wings and rediscovered some of my more classic crimsons, whilst also picking up the odd red hot newbie to add to my growing collection...

Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Eye Shadow Palette

I actually don't think I've owned a Rimmel Eye Shadow, however in the last few weeks I've been hooked on this. Rimmel's Glam Eyes HD Palettes were bought out earlier this season and are available in a few different shades, however it is this compilation in particular which I think is just gorgeous.

This beautiful collection of warm bronze hues is Brixton Brown 022, which includes the perfect five wearable shades for a autumnal smokey eye, or that can just be blended to give the eyes some stunning definition. The colours are gorgeous and compliment each other beautifully, whilst the eyeshadows themselves are just as impressive for the high street. They are well pigmented and blend beautifully, leaving a creaseless, satin finish. This really is something that I am wearing all the time at the moment...

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

With just a matter of days to go now until Santa comes, I've got another party inspired post - in keeping with the festive spirit! This outfit is much more innocent and almost on the opposite end of the spectrum to my velvet and sparkles look, however, a bright red lip has added just a touch of Christmas Spice.

This is the ultimate 'Snow Queen' image this season. I absolutely love the style of the dress and this particular shape is a traditional winner with so many different body shapes. It’s a very girly cut and features a floaty, delicate material, however the lace inserts add a chic, seductive feel to the look which I think is enhanced by a bright crimson lip. This is Rimmel Apocalips in 'Big Bang' which is just an incredible Hollywood red and when this lacquer dries - it 'aint going anywhere! I think the contrast is great and is sure to stand out on the dance floor during the party season....

Jewels and Velvet

The party season is finally upon us and this Christmas I'm loving this amazing LBD from Virgos Lounge. With its beautifully encrusted top and smooth velvet skirt, this is the ultimate festive party piece for your wardrobe.

Nothing says Christmas more than the intricately jewelled bodice and sleeves of the dress, which forms a really striking contrast with its smooth velvet a-line skirt. Although the cut of the dress is quite innocent, the show-stopping silver detail makes it really something to talk about and I love the netting that uplifts the skirt, making it super girly. I've paired it with some big jewel earrings, high black heels and my beloved Lulu Guinness Clutch which I take everywhere! The black accessories really showcase the encrusting on the dress and the eye is immediately drawn to the lavish metallic detailing. This dress is my absolute favourite thing in my wardrobe this Christmas...

HELP: Saying Goodbye To Cellulite

This may seem like a bit of an odd post, but I thought it might be a useful one. Cellulite is something that a massive 90% of us ladies have unfortunately had to, or will have to deal with at some point in our lives, however, never fear, for there are lots of things we can do to keep our legs and glutes looking toned.

It's difficult to find an honest, straight forward and 'easy-to-follow' account from someone about how they managed to tackle cellulite. There are so many serums, creams and scrubs out there these days, that claim to illiminate orange-peel, dimples and uneven skin tone, which actually makes it very easy to get a bit overwhelmed when it comes to tackling cellulite. So if, like me, you're someone like me who wants to shift some stubborn dimples or even just wake up the lazy muscles in your thighs and tush, then keep reading...

ESSIE Winter 2013

Essie rule the high street when it comes to nails. With these guys, you can guarantee quality, longevity and a beautiful, ever-changing range of colours, all for an affordable price. They're just fantastic and this Winter, they've bought another absolutely beautiful collection, containing three heart-melting minis.

I quickly snapped these up when I saw them on the shelf in Boots last week, instantly warming to 'Toggle To The Top' (right) for it's fabulous, undulating glitter hues - Christmas in a bottle. However, I am now finding it increasingly harder to pick a favourite, because they're all such wearable shades for this season. If you're looking for a new nail varnish this season, splash out a little more and go for these three - in my opinion, this is the must-have nail collection this Winter. Well done Essie, you've won me over once again...

#TheWinterProject | Favourite Winter Scent

This week on #TheWinterProject, we're all talking about our favourite scents for the festive season. For me, there is no better time of year to burn a candle and the one that I've been loving for the past two years, is this.

I love the warm, spicey scents that Winter brings and particularly this one - the Spiced Cider candle from For Every Body. The fragrance is just so warm and homely and unlike some festive burners, this smells far from artificial. It's a welcoming aroma of cinnamon and cloves. Sometimes, with spicey scents, they can be somewhat overwhelming and even get stuck in your nose and throat! But the For Every Body Candle is perfectly balanced, has an amazing scent pay off and burns beautifully...

Michael Todd Avocado Mango Face Mask

During the cold months our skin requires a little more TLC than normal. Michael Todd is a brand that I've really got to know and love over the last year and this guy has quickly become one of my winter essentials.

If you haven't heard of Michael Todd, they are a US based brand that just make the most absolutely fantastic skincare products. A massive 97% of all their ingredients are organic, so you can be confident with these guys that you're going to get results without putting chemical nasties on your skin. I've been using both their Blue Green Algae Toner and Jojoba Charcoal Scrub for a good while now and this is my new favourite: the Avocado and Mango Hydrating Facial Mask. This intensely hydrating, beautiful mask is the ultimate treat for your skin this winter and here is why I am absolutely loving it...

#TheWinterProject | Favourite Winter Accessory

This week on #TheWinterProject, we are all discussing our favourite Winter Accessories! At the moment, I am absolutely loving hats. A hat is, without doubt, one of the most versatile of accessories and I guarantee that this will become your fashionable best friend over the cold and rainy months to come.

Hats seem to have taken the high street by storm this Autumn. Floppy, Fedora, Bobble, Beekeeper, Beanie, you name it! This is just a simple, black fedora hat which is super easy to pair with any outfit. It not only creates an immediate fashion statement this Winter, but will also rescue those inevitable bad hair days! They're also great in the good old English weather, if the drizzle isn't enough of an excuse to hoist the umbrella. A hat will keep you warm and dry and protect those luscious locks from dreaded frizz...

My MAC Experience

For my birthday, my girl friends all clubbed together and bought me my idea of heaven - an afternoon learning everything MAC. So on Wednesday, we all jumped on the train to Newcastle for the ultimate beauty experience. Over the course of a couple of hours, I worked with the absolutely fantastic 'Pink' Sarah at MAC Newcastle, to create a dream make up look. As we are approaching the party season, I went for big gold, glittery smokey eyes and a beautiful dark lip colour - a real Christmas show stopper. Sarah was amazing and I learnt so much, so I've put together this colossal post for you guys, to show of Sarah's incredible work and also hoping that you'll learn a tip or two as well...

#TheWinterProject | Favourite Winter Nails

I am so excited to be taking part in the project, which is a series of posts published every Tuesday on a different beauty or fashion topic - involving a seasonal twist! To begin with, today's post showcases my favourite winter nail polishes, five of which you can see below...

As much as I love the bright, citrus hues of Spring and Summer, I always look forward to the darker, burnt out shades that Winter fashion brings. My favourite nail polishes are a massive part of this and are also a means of incorporating some much-loved sparkle into an outfit, ready for the party season! Today, I've chosen a handful of my go-to colours that I wear most regularly throughout the colder months...

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

When it comes to concealers, I'm very much a high street girl. However, following all the hype surrounding this guy when it made it's debut a few months ago, I've decided to give it a try. As a brand, I think NARS is near to the top on my list of favourites, so I picked this up with high expectations.

The liquid formula is absolutely gorgeous. As suggested in the name, it's very creamy and thick, so will provide you with an impressively high coverage. However, despite this, it isn't at all cakey and blends into the skin beautifully. It's crease free, non-drying and gives a really lovely, flawless finish that will cover up redness, dark under-eye circles and those unwanted blemishes. Plus, in terms of longevity, this won't let you down and I have found it to be a fail-proof option on days where there isn't much time for a touch up...

A Caviar Manicure With Ciaté

My gorgeous sister gave me this beautiful Limited Edition Ciaté set for my birthday and I'm really loving it - enough for it to feature in my October Favourites! So this evening, I'm showcasing it for you.

Before now, I'd never tried Ciaté nail lacquer, however I instantly fell in love with the gorgeous 'duck egg' paint pot. If you hadn't already guessed by the colour scheme of 'Beleza' by Ems, this is one of my all time favourite colours (my sister knows me well)! Leighton Denny One For All

It's been a while since I've done a nails post and since I've just bought a new bottle of this baby, I thought that now would be the opportune moment to introduce you to my cult nail product. For me, this is not only the best base/top coat out there; it also doubles up as a truly fantastic treatment.

Have Leighton Denny really pulled it out the bag and formulated the best clear gloss on the market? I think so. A base coat, top coat, ridge filler, and a seamless, transparent polish all in one little bottle, 'One For All' really is the ultimate, multi-purpose nail product. The lacquer has a beautiful, high shine finish and using this to sandwich my manicure, my nails look fresh and chip-free for nearly a week. I don't believe I've ever used a product with so much confidence: this really is a holy grail I recommend picking up...

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner

I have something of a love/hate relationship with liquid liner. I love wearing it, but applying it can get me a little worked up.. especially when I'm in a rush Never ask a girl wearing winged eye liner why she is late! However, with this month's Glamour magazine came something of a saviour and I'm back on good terms.

The Skinny Liquid Eyeliner is my first touch on the brand Eyeko and I can certainly say that they've made a good first impression. I've actually found myself reaching for this as a preference over my much loved L'Oreal Perfect Slim - which is really saying something! MUA Eyeshadow Palette | Undressed

Last month I sent Kristen from Your Beauty Fix one of MUA's gorgeous 'Heaven and Earth' Palettes, in our UK/US Beauty Swap. At just £4, these palettes really are a steal, so I dropped into Superdrug last week to pick up one of my own. However, I actually ended up falling for the 'Undressed' shades.

The Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette has been loved for a long time by beauty bloggers, as a cheaper alternative to Urban Decay's infamous Naked Palette. The 'Undressed' colours are also very neutral and completely perfect for creating a clean, natural look. With 12 gorgeous eyeshadows, both matte and shimmer shades, there is plenty of scope for many everyday, as well as evening looks. And, the powder formulation is so pigmented; for an inexpensive brand, the colour pay-off is really, very impressive...

Make Believe Facial Self Tan With Bronzer

When it comes to self tanning, I turn to my go to brand which has always been St. Tropez. However, recently, I've been using this lovely facial tan from Make Believe, a brand that I've been unfamiliar with until now, but one which has instantly made a fantastic impression.

What I particularly like about this particular product, is that it offers an instant tan, as well as developing into a longer lasting colour over a few hours. This means that it can be used as an instant fix, for example if you need some additional colour before applying your make up to go out. Then, when you take your make up off, the self tan leaves behind a deeper, beautifully healthy glow. It's gorgeous. And, as if that isn't enough, it also goes beyond the brief of a self tan with a unique blend of Rainforest Oils, which intensely moisturises and conditions the skin...

Sleek Face Form Palette

I turned away from contouring over the Summer, but after purchasing this a couple of weeks ago I'm back on the band wagon. This is Face Form from Sleek, which is anyone's best friend when it comes to contouring. Inside, is the perfect recipe for face definition: a contour powder, gorgeous highlight and blush.

The Face Form palette is the sister product of the very popular Face Contour Kit, also from Sleek. However, this compact contains three products rather than a duo, through the addition of a blush. It is the ultimate product for facial definition if you're on a budget, or even if you're a beginner to contouring and want to work with flattering light and shadow in your make up. Sleek have catered for all, in that the shades of each powder product are adapted to suit all skin tones: Fair, Light, Medium and Dark. Tribalist was a limited edition 'Style Warrior' Lipstick, some time ago now and the closest shade to this in MAC's permanent range, is 'Rebel'. Current Season: Jewellery

In the Spring time, I did a blog post on current Jewellery trends and specifically, the Neon Statement Necklace. Now that the clocks are going back, I'm revisiting my accessories and have been having a look at this season's surfacing jewellery trends. As a result, I picked up this GORGEOUS statement piece in Zara last week and cannot get enough of it.

I must say, that Zara have some incredible Jewellery in this season and I found myself umm-ing and ahh-ing between a handful. I'm a sucker for all this. Anyway, I chose this one in particular as I just think it's completely timeless. The twisted strings of delicate pearls form such a pretty neckline and almost juxtapose the chains that entwine them. Then, as if that wasn't enough glamour alone, black jewels with a diamante surround are suspended from the pearls. It's certainly a statement and indeed, shows off something that has been seen a lot on the catwalks recently...

Soap & Glory Gloss Stick | Bashful

Meet my new favourite lip... My August Monthly Favourites Video featured one of these Soap & Glory Gloss Sticks in 'Nudist' - surprise surprise, the most nude shade in the range. This is Bashful, which I have fallen completely head-over-heels for since I picked it up last month.

These Gloss Sticks do not get enough hype in my opinion. They may just look like yet another chubby stick dupe, but actually, these now have pride of place in my handbag. I love them. The formulation is so creamy and moisturising, that you can just sweep these quickly over your lips for a quick hydration fix, or alternatively, build them up into a gorgeous, medium coverage gloss. As you can see from these photos, Bashful has already had a lot of love from me and I completely adore the colour...

Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara

Mascara is that show-stopping turning point in your make up, that brings your eyes to life. My favourite as of late has been the By Terry 'Terrybly' Mascara, which in my opinion is just absolutely fantastic and worth the somewhat painful price tag. But, in the endeavour to find something that I really love and a little cheaper, I have been really, really impressed by Lancôme's Hypnôse Star.

First off, how incredible is this fantastic packaging. I'm a sucker for lovely packaging and the gorgeous glitter is just so pretty, that I was already somewhat 'hypnotised'! I've never actually tried any of the Lancôme Mascaras before but having heard good things about this and doll eyes, I decided to give it a go. And wow. This product is incredible: it creates volume and lengthens lashes like you wouldn't believe...

Rimmel Scandaleyes Khol Kajal Eye Liner

Nude eyeliner is the perfect little trick if your looking to make your eyes a little brighter, more awake or even a little larger than life. My favourite is undoubtably this - Rimmel's Waterproof Khol Kajal pencil.

These Scandaleyes eyeliners in general, have a really wonderful formula and with such an affordable price tag, you cannot go wrong with them. The waxy, creamy consistency is so incredibly waterproof and will last you all day long. It applies easily onto the waterline and is also very smooth. To be honest, I can't really fault it...

Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation

If you have been following my blog for some time, you'll know I'm a huge fan of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. It's my favourite of favourites. A foundation that is very light on the skin, but also one which gives an incredible flawless coverage, I am now reluctant to venture onto anything else. But, the beauty girl in me can't say no; this is the Perfect Refining Foundation from Shiseido.

I've been giving this guy a go over the last few weeks and I'm actually really enjoying it. This is my first touch on Shiseido as a brand and so far... so good. It is named as a medium coverage foundation, with a semi-matte finish. Like my beloved Chanel, it has a very liquid-y consistency, and so I find the best way to apply it is with my finger tips and then I tend to use the Real Techniques Buffing brush to smooth out any tide lines. It just gives a really beautiful, 'perfect' finish and I'm rather taken with it...

Rimmel Apocalips | Big Bang

Big Bang is one of the Apocalips shades that I have been lusting over for a looong while and when I saw that Rimmel had bought out even more shades for Autumn, it was an excuse to go over and have a gander. Since they made their debut in the UK this Summer, I have been using Nude Eclipse and Luna like there has been no tomorrow and now, this guy has joined my fleet.

Eight colours have now become thirteen and the five Apocalips newbies are really something to put on your Winter lust list. Out Of This World could just be my favourite - a beautiful pink with a subtle shimmer; this shimmer being somewhat unique within the range. However, despite a host of new colours, I still walked away with Big Bang. It really is just the perfect cherry red and the formulation of these lip lacquers, really is something to rave about...

NARS Sheer Lipstick | Venice

First and foremost - I must apologise that my posts have become less regular this month. I have been SO busy in my last month at work, as well as packing to return to Durham next weekend. Also, starting youtube has meant that I've spent a lot of my time editing rather than writing! BUT the posts will become much more frequent this week, starting with this lovely lipstick from NARS.

This is Venice, one of NARS' Sheer Lipsticks and I must admit, this is the only NARS lipstick I own. I actually have been meaning to do this post for a while, but when I first took this out of its packaging and gave it a go, I wasn't overly impressed. So, it went to the back of my lipstick draws and was buried among my more favoured MAC and YSL goodies. Having said that, I had a bit of a rummage around last week, pulled it out again and after a second chance... actually, I rather like it...

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish | Soft and Gentle

One question that has been cropping up all over the place recently - particularly since I started making videos - has been, what make up have I been wearing that gives my skin a radiant, dewy glow? Today, I am pleased to introduce you to this guy - MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle.

A beautiful, icey golden colour is marbled with tan and bronze to create a 'gilded,' highlight shade which is just to die for. I think it looks a lot darker in the pan than it does on the skin and just adds a beautiful, frosted champagne shimmer to your complexion. It's the perfect product to reach for when your skin is in need of an instant radiance boost and I am HOOKED...

Winner Of The Prairie Charms Re-Launch Giveaway!

Prairie Charms is a beautiful, bespoke accessory boutique that specialises in custom made goodies. All of their handmade pieces have a really quirky, vintage girly feel to them and I've really fallen in love with all the gorgeous bits and bobs available on their website. Last month, I was actually lucky enough to win their Re-Lauch Giveaway and was sent these lovely items...

They arrived in an amazing gold envelope which I loved - it's always great to see a brand concentrating on their postage and packaging as first impressions are lasting! Inside, was a little tissue-wrapped parcel of colour: three very pretty hair accessories and a lovely wrap bracelet...

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Sweet & Sour

Last week in MAC, I hit gold. Or orange... which is probably a little more correct! This is Sweet & Sour, which was a limited edition shade in MAC's Cremesheen line, bought out with the 'All About Orange' Collection earlier this Summer.

It wasn't until Sweet & Sour was sold out EVERYWHERE, that it flew to the top of my lust list. Then, when I popped into MAC last week I asked on the off chance and low and behold, we checked the 'limited edition left-overs' draw and there was one lonely Sweet & Sour with my name sprawled across it, sitting in the corner. Bingo. And, I love it. This gorgeous peachy-nude lipstick has rarely left my lips over the last few days...

Christian Dior Créme De Rose

Let me introduce you to one of the most luxurious products on my dressing table. This is the Christian Dior Creme De Rose Lip Balm, which you may already recognise from my August Favourites video.

This is a soothing, plumping lip balm and it is wonderful. At a whopping £20, you would surely expect it to be! The Creme De Rose is one of those lip balms that you put on last thing at night and when you wake up in the morning, you can still feel it on there doing it's job. It smells amazing, feels amazing and is just absolutely beautiful...

NEW VIDEO! Get Ready With Me | Summer Boat Party

Get ready with me for my Summer Staff Boat Party! Autumn is almost upon us, but here's one more splash of canary colour before the sun disappears. Keep an eye out for my special guest...

For a day time trip down the thames and undoubtably, an afternoon on the dance floor, I wanted to go with a simple 'city chic look' but also add a little bit of party pazazz. It was 29 degrees in London on Thursday, so make up wise, I needed to create something durable that didn't need too much maintenance! Keep watching to get ready with me and see how I created my daytime Summer party look...
