Walking In A Windsor Wonderland

I discovered Free People on my first visit to New York, Bloomingdales, where my Mum and I were left in the impossible position of wanting to leave with their whole Winter Collection! We will forever be indebted to our amazing shop assistant Sherma, who on subsequent business trips, still helps my Dad pick out Birthday and Christmas presents (my favourite being a gorgeous full-length cardigan which Sherma had sold to Megan Fox the week before!) To my absolute delight, Free People have now made their debut in the UK! And to celebrate, they've launched a competition, eager to find some of our best hotspots and hangouts...

Royal Windsor is one of my favourite places to visit for a perfect day out. A picnic on the river, a cultural visit to the Castle to see the Queen's Guard, a rich variety of shopping and finally a trip to it's own historic theatre. It is a town steeped in traditional English glamour, as well as centuries of Royal history. Join me on a journey to one of our completely unique and quintessentially British towns...

A stroll alongside the river, showcases the beautiful banks of the Thames and some of its wildlife - who always seem keen to be part of the picture. I've been feeding these swans since I was tiny! A rowing boat offers a totally different perspective and if you're feeling up to it, you can take a trip downstream to the racecourse for a flutter on the horses!

There are many cosy cobbled streets to explore and enjoy fabulous British cuisine 'al fresco' - if the weather permits! Here, I am wearing one of my favourite pieces from Free People - a beautiful printed maxi dress. This is an absolutely timeless piece in my wardrobe and makes frequent appearances every Summer. For me it encapsulates the essence of Free People clothing: stunning Bohemian fashion with decorative, vintage feel.

Above, is one of my favourite places to stop for a shopping break. The 'Crooked House of Windsor' is both an absurd attraction in itself and also one of the best places for a typically English Afternoon Tea - Tea, Cucumber Sandwiches and Scones! Next to it, is Windsor Guildhall, which is where the Prince of Wales married Camilla.

The shopping in Windsor is aplenty. From exclusive boutiques to high street brands, there is something for everyone. There is always a rich and vibrant atmosphere, featuring shoppers, visitors from around the world and even the odd suited and booted Soldier!!

Printed Maxi Dress | Free People

The Royal Borough of Windsor is a truly English hotspot, bustling with the best of British food, culture, countryside and shopping. I have loved putting together such a fun and personal blog post which features not only one of my favourite places, but also one of my all-time favourite fashion brands.

If you haven't yet explored Free People's beautiful fashion, check out their fabulous website here, or some of their current collection is also available on ASOS.
