NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette

When it comes to their Christmas Limited Edition Palettes, NARS always seem to get it bang on. So much so, that unless you do your christmas shopping early, it's often sold out when it gets to early December. Having missed out on the beautiful Guy Bourdin selection last winter, this year I jumped the gun. Their Virtual Domination Cheek Palette is undoubtedly the ultimate definition palette this Christmas and as well as this, it's incredible value. It combines two, brand new, limited edition blush colours as well as three much-loved NARS classics, making this gorgeous product one that all beauty lovers will want to find under the christmas tree...

Manuka Protein Pancakes

It is universally acknowledged that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and these guilt-free pancakes really are worth waking up for. Served with oodles of fruit and packed with protein, these babies are the perfect healthy start in the morning, or even as a post-work out pick me up. The rolled oats are also going to provide enough fibre to get you that 'fuller for longer' feeling, so you shouldn't be hankering after a croissant by the time you sit down at your desk. But undoubtably what is most important, they are just d e l i c i o u s...

Rude Health

A couple of weeks ago, I placed an order online with a London-based food and drink company called Rude Health. I'd heard all good things on the grape vine about their delicious almond milk and, as someone who has taken preference to milk alternatives for a while now, I figured I had to try some. When I went onto the website I was so surprised at how affordable everything was, considering all of their products contain all clean ingredients: nothing artificial or refined. So, it was an easy decision to try more than just their almond milk...

The Jumper Dress Edit

So right now, I'm going a little bit crazy for the ol' jumper dress. Thrown on over a pair of knitted tights, this is surely the most effortless way to keep cosy and look chic at the same time, as the weather gets colder. It can be styled with heeled boots for a more sophisticated look, or dressed down with a chunky knit scarf and your trusty converse if you're looking for something more casual. Last night, I took to ASOS - as you do when yore sat in front of Monday night TV - and scrolled through the huge variety of styles that they have to offer online...

Latergram: My Summer In Pictures

That beautiful time where sunny days seem to somehow magically role into one another is finally coming to a close, so I thought I would write up a brief résumé of what has been going on over the past few months. If you already follow me on Instagram, you may already have recognised that I haven't spent an ostensible amount of time at home over the summer and instead, have been doing my own little escapade of globe trotting. This year has had, and still holds, some big birthdays for my immediate family and so we decided to celebrate by making some kick-ass memories together in St Lucia. Note to self: encourage family decisions like this more often...

Little Miracles

Ever since the New Year hit, I've been much more concerned with 'going organic'. With a higher level of antioxidants, fewer pesticide residues and an overall less detrimental impact on our environment than the farming effects of some conventional foods, surely it's a no brainer. However, it is undoubtably a slightly more expensive lifestyle and indeed, one product under the organic umbrella that a student budget doesn't quite stretch to, is the soft drink. Then, last week I received an email from from the lovely 'Little Miracles' who undoubtably seem to have filled that so desired niche for an inexpensive, organic and delicious beverage...

The ZOEVA Rose Golden Brush Set

Last week I made a cheeky delivery from Zoeva for some new make up brushes and I am beyond excited to show you just how absolutely beautiful these are. This is the Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set, which consists of eight essential brushes wrapped in statement rose gold packaging. And, not only do they look the part, the quality of these synthetic brushes is incredible, especially considering that each brush averages at around a mere £6! Plus, they come packaged in a gorgeous leather-look brown clutch, complete with matching rose gold hard wear. I am just completely in love with every single one of them, and here's why...

My Customised MAC Eye Shadow Quad

All the way back in November last year following my MAC make up consultation, I began customising my own Eye Shadow Pro Palette. This week, I finally popped in the final pan thereby completing my quad, which I am absolutely in love with! It consists of four of my favourite eye shadows from MAC that I can either use on an every day basis, or to create a stunning statement eye if I'm going somewhere special. Looking at my choices, I feel like I've almost tailored it for Summer, as when used all together this combination of shades creates the most beautiful bronzed-goddess look, which I am loving wearing at the moment. So, if you'd like to read about the selection of shades I've chosen from MAC in order to create my perfect palette, then keep on reading...

Goodbye Oily Skin With L'Occitane Ultra Matte

Over the past 18 months, my skin seems to have gravitated towards being of a much more combination skin type than ever before. Consequently, the warm Summer months do not bode well with my somewhat oily T-zone and even with a setting powder, my foundation tends to breaks up and  slip after a few hours of being busy. However, over the past few weeks I've been using something that is completely life changing when it comes to shine: the L'Occitane Angelica Ultra Matte Fluid. If you have oily skin, you have GOT to try this...

The Verdict: Micellar Waters (Garnier VS L'Oreal)

A few months ago, I jumped on the Micellar Water bandwagon and reviewed the L'Oreal 3 in 1 Solution, which I really enjoyed as part of my skincare routine. When I finished the bottle, I decided to go back to the drugstore for Garnier's formulation in order to compare the two. I'm half way through this one now, so - the verdict? I am definitely enjoying Garnier's Cleansing Water a whole lot more. For a few reasons, I think it has the upper hand over L'Oreal, which ensures I'm going to be repurchasing this one rather than the latter. Here's why...

TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Hair Treatment Masque

This intensive treatment masque is part of the new TRESemmé Keratin Smooth range, which endeavours to thoroughly replenish and nourish every individual strand of your hair. It comes with the claim to battle against the ongoing fight with frizz-prone hair, as well as promises to give smooth the overall appearance of unruly hair. I certainly wouldn't say that my hair is frizzy as such, however if the weather turns slightly untoward or my hair is particularly lacking in moisture, then my shorter hairs will always misbehave. Thanks to this product, those frizzy moments have fizzled into non-existence. It does exactly what it says on the tin...

Liz Earle Limited Edition 2014

After an entire month away from blogging due to countless university deadlines and exams, I am finally back to business and boy, have I missed it! Thank you for being so extremely patient. So, over the past few weeks I have accumulated, tried and tested some incredible new products, particularly skincare concerned and as a result, have finally put together a morning and nighttime routine that I'm really happy with. During the past seven days especially, my skin has done a complete 180 and so of course, I have some praises to sing of some new-found favourites. To dive straight in, this is Liz Earle's gorgeous new Hot Cloth Cleanser. It combines their infamous formula with an incredibly sensuous new fragrance and as this is limited edition, I thought I'd get this post up asap in order to encourage everyone to get their hands on it whilst stocks last...

Hair Care: Charles Worthington Salon At Home

Today I want to show you just a couple of my current hair care favourites, and boy are they good'uns. Charles Worthington Salon At Home comes in at just a little more expensive than your regular drugstore brands, however for a couple more coins, it does its job so well. With most products priced at a reasonable £5.99 and producing the incredible results like I have seen so far, this could be my new go-to hair care brand. These products are fantastic and they definitely fill a much needed gap in the haircare market: Salon hair, at home...

Yearly Round-Up: Happy Birthday Beleza!

Today is April 27th and a whole year to the dot since I published my very first blog post on 'Beleza' by Ems. So, I thought it only right to commemorate the moment with a little recap of the last year and what has gone on! It only seems like yesterday that I was turning over the very idea of a starting a blog with the girls one evening over food and to this day, they continue to encourage and support all my feats. That night, I began the long process of designing and writing what you see on belezabyems.com today (and also had my first experience of blogging into the early hours of the morning - the first of many to come!) The past twelve months have been a whirlwind of exciting opportunities, so here is a quick recap of a year of 'Beleza' by Ems...

LUSH Ro's Argan Body Conditioner

Skin Conditioners and 'In-Shower' Body Moisturisers seem to have really come into fashion recently and to be frank, I'm all for it. Conditioning makes our hair feel gorgeous, so why not make one for our skin? Product inventor Rowena at LUSH did exactly this, giving us all Ro's Argan Body Conditioner and one more product to lust over from our favourite bath time store. Amongst the reals of natural ingredients included, is the infamous smoothing Argan Oil and its claims of leaving skin baby soft, really intrigued me. I absolutely love this and it has now become a staple to my shower routine! Here's a little more about this blissful pamper product...

How To: The Milkmaid Braid

[Instagram: @emilyjbenton] The Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray has recently been recognised in the beauty world as something of a high street dupe for the highly acclaimed, although incredibly expensive, Oribe Dry Texturising Spray. At a whopping £19 for a mere 75ml, this product surely makes it onto more wish lists than into shopping carts. So, with the Charles Worthington Salon At Home 'dupe' priced much more wallet-friendly (£6.99), I gave it a go. The verdict? This is, hands down, an absolute styling miracle and I cannot sing its praises enough. In seconds, it will instantly inject incredible volume and new life into my hair...

Lime Crime Poisonberry Opaque Lipstick

Lime Crime seems to have become a real hit amongst the blogging community within the last few months and from my own first impressions, I can certainly see why. This striking lipstick is one of their most popular shades from their opaque collection and appropriately names, Poisonberry. First of all, I think their incredibly girly and somewhat 'punky' packaging is amazing and completely reflective of the quirky brand itself, not to mention what hides inside. These lipsticks are fabulous, full coverage formulations, available in a whopping eighteen different beautiful shades. I'm head-over-heels, so please stay tuned for a rave review..

In short, this rather raunchy red is one of MAC's Limited Edition Lipsticks from their Divine Nights collection: 'Prepare For Pleasure'. L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution

In the past few months, the big-name beauty brands have all jumped on the 'Micellar Water' bandwagon, in the endeavour to somewhat emulate the infamous Bioderma Cleansing Water, which is oh-so-difficult to get hold of here in the U.K. They are all priced around the very affordable £5 mark, so when I was in Boots last week I thought I would give one a go to see what all the hype has been about. However, choosing one was much more difficult than I first thought and after a long 10 minute toss up between Garnier and L'Oreal and a quick flick through some reviews on my iPhone, I walked away with the latter: L'Oreal's 3 in 1 Micellar Solution...

The Panasonic Hairdryer With 'Nanoe' Technology

This rather attractive looking 'spaceship', or should I say hairdryer, actually found itself on my Christmas list, however I decided to give myself a couple of months with it before giving it an honest review, as it is quite an expensive piece of kit. However, stay tuned because this everyday electrical is 100% worth the pennies, especially if you have coloured or treated hair that is in need of all the TLC it can get. Where your standard hairdryer will strip your hair of vital nourishment, the Panasonic EH-NA65-K895 blow-dryer with 'Nanoe' Technology actually puts moisture back into the hair and scalp. The result? The 'Les Blancs' collection features four fantastic macaroon tones: one lilac, one peach, one lemon meringue and one pretty pistachio. The Paisley Print Playsuit

This gorgeous paisley print playsuit is the perfect choice for a night out, now that the sun has finally started to warm things up a little! Prints are in big time at the moment and I really like the delicate, all over pattern of this one piece from Motel Rocks. To contrast the fluidity of the paisley design, I've chosen to accessorise with stunning chunky sandals and my favourite glass necklace from Zara, both of which have much more of a clean edge about them than the feathery fabric. Motel Rocks have got some beautiful pieces in for this season and with a very generous student discount of 20%, I couldn't say no to such a pretty playsuit...

Fake Lashes: The MAC #20 Lash

In my opinion, the biggest asset to your make up and perhaps also the one element which can change a look the most dramatically, is lashes. A few weeks ago, I placed an order with MAC to stock up on a few of my cult products and at the same time, added these feathery beauties to my shopping bag - on a bit of a whim! At the moment, I'm really into my liquid liner and creating the perfect cat eye, and these really are the 'cherry on top' of a fabulously feline look. They are so wonderfully seamless that it hardly looks like you have fake eyelashes on, so much so that I'm trying to resist wearing them on a daily basis. This is the MAC #20 'half' lash...

These incredible raspberry trousers caught my eye on Motel Rocks a while ago and I absolutely. love. them. I don't usually go for a trouser with a straight leg, however that said, I think these are actually very flattering. Here, I've turned them into the centrepiece of a very 70's outfit, dressing them with a simple neutral knit and chunky white sandals. Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser

Spray on moisturiser. I'll put my hands up and say that this was one of those products that I was really sceptical about, when it was released last year. However, when I was in Boots last week queuing to pay, this caught my eye by the checkout and for just £4.99, I thought I'd give it a run for its money. I am so lazy when it comes to the laborious task of moisturising my skin from the neck downwards, so the 'Spray & Go' concept of this is was what appealed to me most. The results? I can honestly say that, whilst one of the most simple, this is also one of the best body care launches I've tried and has completely revolutionised my post-shower routine...

And She Thinks She's Made Of Candy

Spring is just around the corner (touch wood), and so to encourage some warmer weather, today's outfit is all kinds of colourful. When it comes to pastels, I can't say no. If something ever so slightly 'candy-coloured' looks at me from the hanger, it's quickly picked up and placed fondly under my arm. So hey, it wasn't surprising that when I reached into my wardrobe this morning, three pretty pastel pieces jumped off the rail and formed this merry combination. When Spring does come, rest assured I'll be looking like something out of My Little Pony.

Waiting For A Sunny Day

Recently, I've been busy writing big important essays, which has involved running over to the library at least a couple of times a day, and making quick trips into town to stock up the fridge with brain food. So, this has been my go to outfit. It's such an easy, layered combination, that fits in effortlessly with casual street style, and will also keep you warm and cosy when you're going about those day-to-day errands in the cold (cue, the beanie).

So, thank you for being so patient - you can expect a flurry of outfit posts in the next few days, as well as some juicy beauty reviews of some products that are sure to make it onto your wish list.

So, as a bit of a fun 'welcome back', I thought I would do this tag, which the lovely Stephanie from Goddess Mnemosyne tagged me in earlier today. So grab yourself a cuppa and prepare yourselves for a little bit of TMI!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

I've finally hit that point in the year where all of my foundations are too dark to suit my skin tone. So, I've been on a mission to find something to avoid dreaded 'tide-lines' and keep my skin looking flawless during winter.

Without doubt, the much-talked-about Rimmel Match Perfection foundation was the obvious choice and after swatching it in store, I took it home hoping that it would do exactly what it said on the bottle - 'completely conceal imperfections with no foundation line'. I'm a huge advocate for the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, however the light reflective particles leave you at risk of looking like a glitter-ball Edward Cullen during the winter. However, this was certainly my favourite high-street foundation... up until now. Rimmel's Match Perfection is absolutely gorgeous...

Goodbye Tired Eyes: Garnier BB Eye Roll-On

I've been back at University for only a week and dark under-eye circles are already rudely appearing. So, today I wanted to share what I'm using at the moment in the endeavour to get rid of them and look wide awake!

In general, BB creams are something of a grey area for me. I love the idea of a half-coverage, half conditioning product, but with the few that I've tried, I've just never really jumped on the bandwagon. That said, when I spotted this a couple of weeks ago, I decided to make an exception.. What could be disappointing about an all in one eye cream and concealer? By Terry is at the top end of the spectrum when it comes to beauty, in terms of quality and, unfortunately price as well.
