La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

For the whole of March, Escentual have a whopping 1/3 off all of their French Pharmacy brands. So, I placed a cheeky order at the beginning of the month and this guy was at the top of my list. The Effaclar Duo from La Roche-Posay has long been renowned for it's incredible spot-beating ability and now, they have improved the formula with the Duo+ which also treats imperfections that are left behind following a breakout. Intended as a high performance, complete skincare solution for oily and blemish prone skin, I had high expectations...

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Prepare For Pleasure

Just today, this absolutely beautiful lipstick landed on my doorstep, amongst a selection of other gorgeous gifts from my good friend Kristen, at Your Beauty Fix. I am so overwhelmed with it that I've decided to show it off within just a few hours of receiving it, and hopefully this review will also serve tribute to how grateful I am to Kristen for sending it to me! In short, this rather raunchy red is one of MAC's Limited Edition Lipsticks from their Divine Nights collection: 'Prepare For Pleasure'. Described as a 'clean magenta red' with my favourite Cremesheen finish, this is quite simply one of the most beautiful and iconic lipsticks that I now own...

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution

In the past few months, the big-name beauty brands have all jumped on the 'Micellar Water' bandwagon, in the endeavour to somewhat emulate the infamous Bioderma Cleansing Water, which is oh-so-difficult to get hold of here in the U.K. They are all priced around the very affordable £5 mark, so when I was in Boots last week I thought I would give one a go to see what all the hype has been about. However, choosing one was much more difficult than I first thought and after a long 10 minute toss up between Garnier and L'Oreal and a quick flick through some reviews on my iPhone, I walked away with the latter: L'Oreal's 3 in 1 Micellar Solution...

The Panasonic Hairdryer With 'Nanoe' Technology

This rather attractive looking 'spaceship', or should I say hairdryer, actually found itself on my Christmas list, however I decided to give myself a couple of months with it before giving it an honest review, as it is quite an expensive piece of kit. However, stay tuned because this everyday electrical is 100% worth the pennies, especially if you have coloured or treated hair that is in need of all the TLC it can get. Where your standard hairdryer will strip your hair of vital nourishment, the Panasonic EH-NA65-K895 blow-dryer with 'Nanoe' Technology actually puts moisture back into the hair and scalp. The result? Your healthiest hair yet...

The Perfect Pastel Nail With L'Oreal

As a direct reaction to the sheer abundance of pastel colours seen on the S/S runway, L'Oreal have released four completely gorgeous porcelain shades into their infamous Colour Riche Nail Polish range. The 'Les Blancs' collection features four fantastic macaroon tones: one lilac, one peach, one lemon meringue and one pretty pistachio. All four are on my wish list, however at the moment I am a sucker for anything lilac, so today I have this little beauty to show you. 'Nouvelle Vague' has quickly become my favourite springtime nail colour...

The Paisley Print Playsuit

This gorgeous paisley print playsuit is the perfect choice for a night out, now that the sun has finally started to warm things up a little! Prints are in big time at the moment and I really like the delicate, all over pattern of this one piece from Motel Rocks. To contrast the fluidity of the paisley design, I've chosen to accessorise with stunning chunky sandals and my favourite glass necklace from Zara, both of which have much more of a clean edge about them than the feathery fabric. Motel Rocks have got some beautiful pieces in for this season and with a very generous student discount of 20%, I couldn't say no to such a pretty playsuit...

Fake Lashes: The MAC #20 Lash

In my opinion, the biggest asset to your make up and perhaps also the one element which can change a look the most dramatically, is lashes. A few weeks ago, I placed an order with MAC to stock up on a few of my cult products and at the same time, added these feathery beauties to my shopping bag - on a bit of a whim! At the moment, I'm really into my liquid liner and creating the perfect cat eye, and these really are the 'cherry on top' of a fabulously feline look. They are so wonderfully seamless that it hardly looks like you have fake eyelashes on, so much so that I'm trying to resist wearing them on a daily basis. This is the MAC #20 'half' lash...

Lounging Around in the 70's

These incredible raspberry trousers caught my eye on Motel Rocks a while ago and I absolutely. love. them. I don't usually go for a trouser with a straight leg, however that said, I think these are actually very flattering. Here, I've turned them into the centrepiece of a very 70's outfit, dressing them with a simple neutral knit and chunky white sandals. The beautiful print is bang on trend and these beauties are definitely something that could be casual, formal, smart or sexy. For all these reasons, they've quickly shot into my wardrobe favourites...
